Colorado All State Choir is an opportunity for all Juniors and Seniors in the state to participate in a professional choir. The best of the best are selected into Tenor/Bass Choir, Treble Choir, and Mixed Choir. Check out the All-State Choir website for more information by clicking the button below! You can find videos of actual auditions, as well as other tips to help you succeed. 

Colorado All State Jazz Choir is also for Juniors and Seniors. Students selected are placed into  Tenor/Bass Jazz Choir, Treble Jazz Choir, and Mixed Jazz Choir.

All State Audition Requirements

Only Juniors and Seniors may audition for Colorado All State Choir.  You should prepare:
  • A memorized solo song - must be an art song
  • 3 scales (major, harmonic minor, and melodic minor)
  • 4 triads (major, minor, diminished, and augmented)
  • Singing and identifying ascending and descending intervals
  • Melodic sight-reading and rhythmic sight-reading 

All State JAZZ Audition Requirements

Only Juniors and Seniors may audition for Colorado All State Jazz Choir.  You should prepare:
  • Blues Scale
  • Chromatic Scale
  • Dorian Scale
  • Major Scale
  • Two short solos
